Stephanie Tulloch – “Stephanie under spotlight

This collection of works explores the intensity of physical performance and also its possibilities. The genres of burlesque, ballet and circus are separated from their cultural context, the focus instead on the interplay between bodies and the shadows and lights of the stage. What is revealed is the power of choreography to create worlds that are demure, raw, playful and confronting.

For this exhibition, Mark Rowden has collaborated with burlesque performers including Red Sarah, Sapphira, Briana Bluebell and Holly J’aDoll, as well as acclaimed Australian dancer Stephanie Tulloch. His work is also inspired by the performances of Cirque du Soleil and professional ballet rehearsals.

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine Middleton took place on Friday, 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London. Prince William, second in the line of succession to Queen Elizabeth II, first met Catherine Middleton in 2001, while both were studying at St. Andrews University. Their engagement, which began on 20 October 2010, was announced on 16 November 2010.

The build-up to the wedding and the occasion itself attracted much media attention, with the service broadcast live around the world, and with it being compared and contrasted in many ways to the 1981 marriage of William’s parents, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. It was watched by a global television audience of over two billion.^[1][2] Much of the attention focused on Middleton’s status as a commoner (i.e., not of royal blood or a part of the aristocracy) marrying into royalty. Hours before the service, William was granted the titles of the Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, and Baron Carrickfergus by the Queen. Upon her marriage, Middleton therefore became Her Royal Highness Princess William Arthur Philip Louis, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus, but is not styled as ‘Princess Catherine’.

As William was not the heir-apparent to the throne, the wedding was not a full state occasion, with many details left to the couple themselves to decide, such as much of the the guest list of about 1,900. It was, however, a public holiday in Great Britain and featured many ceremonial aspects, including use of the state carriages and roles for the Foot Guards and Household Cavalry. It was attended by most of the Royal Family, as well as many foreign royals, diplomats, and the couple’s chosen personal guests.

Middleton wore a white dress with a 270-centimetre (110 in) train, by British designer Sarah Burton, as well as a tiara lent to her by the Queen. William wore the uniform of his honorary rank of Colonel of the Regiment for the Irish Guards. William’s best man was his brother, Prince Harry, while the bride’s sister, Pippa, acted as her maid of honour. The wedding ceremony began at 11:00 am BST (UTC+1). John Robert Hall, the Dean of Westminster, officiated most of the service, with Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, conducting the marriage ceremony itself and Richard Chartres, the Bishop of London, giving the sermon. A reading was also given by the bride’s brother, James. After the ceremony, the newly married couple travelled in procession to Buckingham Palace for the traditional appearance on the balcony and a flypast before crowds assembled in The Mall.

Following the wedding, the couple intend to continue residing on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, where Prince William is based as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot.

Jasmine is best known for her work on Channel 4‘s award-winning show A Place in the Sun – Home or Away, and has filmed over 200 episodes all over the world. From Bavaria to Barbados, Sydney to Slovenia and Tobago to Tenerife, no stone has been left unturned on her quest to travel the globe and find the best properties for her house-hunters.

Since 2004 when Jasmine was selected from hundreds of applicants to present A Place in the Sun – Home or Away, it has gone from strength to strength. Recently nominated for RTS and Broadcast awards and winner of a prestigious TRIC award, it has proven to be extremely popular in it’s prime slot as part of Channel 4′s Friday evening line-up, where it has more than doubled previous ratings.

The programme is also broadcast daily on More4, Discovery Real Time and Travel & Living, as well as channels throughout Europe and the rest of the world, some as far-reaching as New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. She is a natural and popular presenter who represents a generation of stylish, 30-something women.

Jasmine has also featured in property, travel and health & fitness programmes for GMTV, This Morning, The Travel Channel and Wedding TV.

Jon Boast

The Young Ambition - It was whilst sat in Dover A & E next to my Dad at the age of 13 with my right eye glued together (after an accident with a can of photogaphic spray glue), that I not only realised I was clumsy, but also that I shouldn’t pursue my early interest of photography into my professional life and maybe focus on the moving image rather than an image that needed mounting onto a cardboard backing!!

My Early Career - After graduating in 1999, I started working for the UK’s leading kit and crewing company.  Early employment was spent gathering valuable knowledge in all the technical aspects of various camera and lighting techniques, with late nights spent nurturing not only my curry addiction but my ambition to shoot and light. I became one of their few staff cameramen also operating steadicam, working on a variety of broadcast & corporate projects; shooting my first full terrestrial series for Channel 4 at the ripe old age of 24!

Present Day - I’ve been in the industry for over 10 years and have gained a reputation for being creative, reliable and having an eye for producing unique images, whilst remaining easy & fun to work with.

Not only are the skills of camerawork and lighting important to me but the equipment equally so.   From years of experience I have developed a kit arsenal to be proud of and created what I consider to be the ultimate crew vehicle (see gallery & kit page). The van will comfortably hold 5 of us and all my kit, everything from the mini jib to steadicam and lots of extra toys. Its been so well received, facilities and cameramen are copying its design already!

There are lots of little details in my kit that you would only get with an owner operator, including a unique wireless camera return system for multi camera reality shoots.

For 75% of the time I work with my own kit and have experience of facilitating various productions, including a 55 episode prime time series for Ch 4 HD.   I don’t  pretend to to be a facilities company, I am a well established lighting cameraman with great kit, and I have excellent relationships with other owner operators in our crew hub and several good hire companies, when more kit is needed on larger PSC multi-camera jobs.
